A Digital Transformation Strategy and e-Governance Sustainability: The Mediating Role of Sustainability-Oriented Innovation

Abstract

Digital technologies are reshaping business paradigms and addressing sustainability challenges. In the context of developing countries, the sustainability of e-Governance projects remains an evolving field, with limited research exploring the intersection between sustainability and digital transformation. This study investigates the intervening role of sustainability-oriented innovation in the relationship between digital transformation strategies and e-Governance sustainability. Using a quantitative approach, including a survey of key stakeholders and structural equation modeling, the findings confirm that sustainability-oriented innovation significantly mediates this relationship. The study contributes to the literature by providing empirical evidence and theoretical insights into how digital transformation strategies can enhance e-Governance sustainability, offering both academic and practical implications for policymakers and practitioners.
